For those who are tired

God, tired
Jon Thurlow sings (http://www.ihopkc.org/prayerroom/#asset/140128_TPR_0800/auto/true) (18 minute mark onwards):
“And in a world that’s tired and sinned and grown old. Oh Jesus, we say you have a beautiful heart.”

The world tells us:
-Your value is dependent on how others judge the following:
: Your performance (social performance/status/work performance)
: Your impact and influence on others
: Your appearance (clothes, hair, body shape, makeup)
: Your money – (how much you have, how much you can earn)
: Your possessions – (car, house, clothes, job, gadgets, fashion, technology, phone)
Jesus tells us:
: Man looks at the outward appearance but I look at the heart.
: Your value is in who I say you are.
: I say that you are worth my very life.
: Your value is in the fact that I love you and you love Me
Question:
Is there anyone in this world, even in your own family, who would die for you?
Answer:
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.¬†For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30

Mr Thurlows lyrics remind me of a passage from Chesterton “…for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we.”
